The development standards in the ordinance apply to most ATN neighborhoods (see map). These standards are intended to promote more walking, cycling and transit use through techniques such as building design, parking standards, and investment in sidewalks and street trees.
In February 2016 the City Commission authorized staff to select a consultant to review implementation problems with the MMTD. The consultant’s final report was submitted to City staff in March 2019. During the four years since this report was commissioned, the issues it identifies have proliferated with new development throughout the MMTD.
